Public Relations Plan

Two Media Exposure Ideas
1. Coverage of Campus Wellness Fair
2. Coverage of Interactive Wellness Fair

To help get more students involved in the IU Indianapolis wellness program, I came up with two ideas: a Campus Wellness Fair and an Interactive Health Workshop. The Wellness Fair would be a fun event on campus where students can get free health check-ups, like blood pressure and BMI checks, try short yoga or meditation sessions, and visit tables with tips on healthy eating and stress relief. Program staff would also be there to answer questions and help students sign up. The fair could get local media attention as a good-news story about health support on campus and create great photo opportunities for news outlets.

The Health Workshop would include short talks on managing stress, learning meditation, and preventing injuries, along with free health screenings like body composition checks and mental health evaluations. This event would show students that the program cares about their well-being and offers helpful resources. Media could cover it as a positive story about supporting college students’ health, which could bring in more students.

Both events would help show students how easy and important it is to take care of their health, while also spreading the word about the program through media coverage. These ideas highlight how the program supports student health and well-being in a fun and practical way.

"Organizing a Campus Wellness Fair and an Interactive Health Workshop would help students learn more about the wellness program and get involved"
